Current mileage: 290km's
We installed some special tints that block 99% of UV rays, i have 2 kids and Taiwan is a very sunny place so it was a no-brainer decision.
Then we added 40w 6000k HID's, mostly to make the car look better........ cant stand yellow halogen lights and yes we did try whiter halogen bulbs but they were still too yellow!.
Anyway the HID's make it look awesome and also light up alot of road, in Taiwan its not illegal to add lighting to your car so in theory you can light it up like a xmas tree....... not that i would.

Our Yeti arrived!
We picked up our Skoda yeti on friday evening, it was raining a lot, dark and we had to drive through one of the most horribly congested and hazardous parts of Taipei (DURING FRIDAY NIGHT RUSH HOUR!) to get it back home.
This was quite scary as the DSG gearbox on the testcar was very snatchy from a dead stop, so i was very worried about accidently flying into the back of someone!.
Luckily Skoda seemed to have changed the settings on the 2011 models, though the 2010 test car was very snatchy our new car was far smoother and more of a joy to drive.
Anyway our Yeti (i say our because its the family car!) is a 2011 1.2 TSI DSG........... yes a 1.2, before you jump to conclusions you need to understand that this little 1.2 has a turbo and puts out maximum torque (200nm+) below 1900rpm and has a 7 speed double clutch gearbox, in short the car FLYS off the mark (wheels spinning) and feels just like a VW GOLF GTI only with the yeti needing 4 gearshifts to do what the GTI does in 2!.
That probably sounds bad too, but this is a double clutch gearbox, with very short ratios while changing gears faster than any man could and the fact its always changing gear makes the car feel much faster than it really is.
The best selling point with the engine is that it drinks very little fuel, so far i havent even used half a tank in Taipei's stop-start 'god awful' traffic i have already done over 200km's, so its looking like a full tank is going to give 500km's, did i mention that to fill the tank it only costs $45us?.
I am starting to feel like a Skoda salesman............. here are some pictures of the car when it arrived.
Full spec of our car:
2011 Skoda Yeti
1.2TSI DSG-7
Candy white
16'' rims (2011 set, not listed on Skodas site)
Continental premium contact 2 tyres
3 spoke RS steering wheel
Climatic control
Sports seats with bolster adjustment
Silver roof rails
Everything else is base spec (stereo for instance) this isnt by choice, the importer in Taiwan refused to budge on custom specing the car, i had to fight to get my RS wheel ordered!.
Awesome car, love it to bits, still running it in and later on i will show pictures of it with the new tints installed!.
